A new entry on the blog can only mean one thing…..we’re off on holiday again. Yes, on Thursday we board the P&O cruise ship “Azura” for another trip around the Med.
It’s a very similar itinerary to last year’s holiday calling at Cadiz, Corfu, Korcula, Venice, Dubrovnik and Malaga before returning to Southampton. The major difference is that we will be over-nighting in Venice giving a lot more time to visit the sights. Hopefully this time we will have the opportunity to visit Korcula which, due to bad weather, was inaccessible on the last trip.
Oh, I forgot to mention that this time we will be joined by Victoria,Oliver, Poppy and Joseph [My daughter/son-in-law and two grandchildren]. That’s going make the cruise a whole different experience as we have never cruised with children before. Joey will celebrate his 2nd birthday on board on Friday [Yes the 13th!!!] and both he and Poppy are really looking forward to it. Poppy has been informing all her friends and teachers that she is not going on holiday but “on a cruise”.
So this trip there will probably be more of this………………

Ah Venice – one of my favourite places. Children on a cruise! Hope that the other wrinklies appreciate their youthfulness! Have a fab time! We are off to see Eric Clapton on 21st then have Australian visitors for a couple of weks and then we are off to complete Route 66!
Unfortunately Eric is playing Cardiff whilst we are away, so I'll have to miss him this time!!
