After surviving enjoying the summer looking after Grandchildren it’s now time for another break. We are heading across the Atlantic aboard the Sapphire Princess with the first stop in Newfoundland. We’ll then travel down the eastern Canadian coast taking in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island before arriving at New York for a two day stop. We then head north again to Newport, Boston and Maine before two more stops in Canada and then the slow voyage home. With plenty of time at sea the blog will not be published every day but I will keep you up to date with our progress as best I can.
We had a lovely drive down to Southampton in the sunshine but as the boat show is on in town we are staying at a different hotel. The Holiday Inn Express is situated right next to the Ageas arena, the home of Hampshire cricket, and as it was such a sunny day we decided to have a walk around the ground. This gave a perfect opportunity for a photo to start the blog.
Tomorrow we board the ship to start our epic voyage.
