“You must be Ken”.

Today I was expecting to write a blog about a beautiful day spent exploring the dockyard in Bermuda. Unfortunately as you are probably aware our visit to the island was cancelled over concern of adverse weather potentially endangering the ship. We therefore spent another “relaxing” day at sea.

Watch out behind!!

There is plenty to keep you occupied on the ship and they have added extra events because of the lost port. Today I had the dubious pleasure of watching Nottingham Forest getting beat by Spurs in football followed by England getting well and truly thumped by France in the Rugby. At least Wales won!! We also spend some time on one of our favourite pastimes – table tennis.

Of course there are quizzes, a themed quiz in the morning followed by a “progressive” quiz (where the scores are accumulated throughout the cruise), a daily music quiz and an individual quiz late afternoon. In addition there is a daily “Silent Quiz” where a question sheet is put out in the morning, very similar to the paper rounds on my website. So similar in fact that one day it was dog breed photos, the next a quiz called “Spot the Dog” and today it was cryptic pop groups. On the latest quiz question 21 was “Coed Hirwaun residents”, I wonder where these came from??

After the quiz the other day I approached the entertainment officer to mention a good website for obtaining quizzes, she looked at me and said “You must be Ken”. She told me that all the entertainment team used my site but they have to be careful because some of the passengers were on a previous cruise. The quiz sheets were printed at head office.Fame at last although an acknowledgment on the bottom of the silent quiz would have been nice which she said she would mention to HO.

The next port of call on Tuesday is Freeport in the Bahamas (weather permitting) and I think most of the passengers are looking forward to a day on dry land. I’ll let you know how it goes.

(The answer to Q21 is obviously Village People, not sure how many of my fellow passengers would have solved that one!!).
